Media innovator Steven Brill and former Wall Street Journal publisher Gordon Crovitz created NewsGuard. They are dedicated to combating misinformation by offering transparent tools for readers, brands, and democracies. Since its inception in 2018, the global team, consisting of trained journalists and information specialists, has meticulously collected and updated over 6.9 million data points pertaining to more than 35,000 news sources.
